Travis ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

Travis here. My foster family thinks I look like a smaller version of the dog on the Travelers Insurance commercial, and I'm a travelin' man on a long road to my forever home. I was wandering the streets of Southern California with a much younger puppy, and the family that took us in could only keep one of us. I'm glad my little buddy found a home, but when will it be my turn? The vet says I could be 5 or 6 years old but my foster mom thinks I'm much younger. I'm neutered, have all my shots, and I'm a tall, skinny guy at 17 pounds with an undocked tail. I'm a cute blend of terrier and something like a poodle because the hair on my back is curly. Does that make me a Silky-poo?

I've bonded with my foster mom, and love sitting by her desk when she works at home. My ideal home would have a special person who can be my best friend, but I'm friendly to everyone including other dogs. No cats or small kids here, so I don't know about that. I'm pretty much housebroken once I settle in to your routine and figure out where I'm supposed to go. I'm happiest when I can be with people and I'll snuggle anywhere, anytime. I'll ride nicely in the car in a crate, but I get nervous if you leave me alone outside or in a pen. Maybe I remember being put out of my original home and not getting back in. I hope you have a fenced yard so that doesn't happen again! My travelin' days are over.

Travis' new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to take proper care of him. His adoption fee is $250. Preference will be given to applicants within the surrounding area. Please note that we do not ship our rescues.
