Opie ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

Hello silky lovers! My name is Opie and I'm a 3 year old silky boy. I came into Silky Rescue from a shelter in southern CA but I have a microchip from a shelter in AZ. No one registered the chip and no one claimed me but that could be because I have a very bad burn on my entire back. You might say I look like a hairless Chinese Crested because of the burn. No one knows how I got burned but it doesn't matter because the burn is all healed but I can't grow hair on my back because of the burn. I even have some doggie shirts so I don't get a sun burn. Opie
Opie I'm completely house trained and I don't ever lift my leg. I use the doggie door and I sleep in my crate. I like everyone here at my foster home except this one guy who thinks he's the boss. I sit for my treats and I like to play fetch. I'm looking for a family that will love me as I was loved by someone at one time. I will sit in your lap 24/7 if you will allow me. This is one of my favorite pastimes.
Opie's new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for him. Preference will be given to applicants within the surrounding area. Please note that we do not ship our rescues. His adoption fee will be $200.

If you are interested in Opie, please fill out an application and mention his name. The application is on-line at https://silkyrescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email us at SilkyRescueApplications@yahoo.com and let us know you are interested in Opie (please include your name and state so we can find your application in our files). Also, please send an email to his foster mom at anahab@verizon.net.
