Here's Penny...before
her "extreme makeover!"

Here she is...after...what a lucky girl that
her foster mom is a groomer!
Penny is a 5 and a half year old silky girl. She gets along with her rescuer's small Yorkie as well as her grooming customers' dogs. Penny could care less about the Siamese cat in her rescuer's hom but the cat hates her! Penny was wee-wee pad trained, however since being at her foster home, she has gone outside every time with no mistakes inside.

She will be spayed and all shots up to date before she is placed. She will be her heartworm tested and on Heartgard. Her foster mom says she "is a sweetheart! Good natured and walks on lead very well." There are no children in her foster home and she is in a neighborhood without kids so her foster mom will take her to the park once she is current on shots and see how she does...foster mom doesn't think she’ll have a problem with them. She says, "Penny is so even tempered and she is not food aggressive. She is a happy-go-lucky girl!"

If you are interested in Penny, please note that you will be dealing with Yorkie Rescue directly and not STCA Rescue. We have neither seen nor evaluated this dog and will not be involved with any arrangements made regarding his adoption. For more information on Penny, please email her foster mom at or 217-621-3154. Her adoption fee will be $250. Here are some more things that Penny's foster mom wants you to know..."Adoptive families must have a home visit, provide excellent vet reference and undergo at least two follow up home visits. I keep in contact for the life of the dog and will ask for pictures to verify health of dog! Yes...I feel that since I accepted the responsibility of the dog I must continue to follow up for the rest of this animal’s life to make sure it is safe, healthy and happy! In addition to having a grooming certificate I have trained dogs/horses for over 10 years and currently working towards a certificate. I work with families to continue the training and keep the balance in the home environment."
