Lilly in Colorado

Looking for a Home

In October of 2000, All Breed Rescue, Inc. of Colorado was involved in a massive rescue effort in Cortez, Colorado. Over 100 dogs of various breeds were taken from a kennel closure. There were seven silkys that were rescued. Lilly is the last of the rescued silkys who is looking for a home.colorado silkys
lillyLilly is a silky girl who is about 3 or 4 years old. Her foster mom would like to find her a home with people who will be around more -- retirees or a family with children older than about seven. Lilly needs a home with no other dogs, but cats are OK. Lilly is very sweet but shy. She will need patient, loving people.

Lilly is paper-trained and likes riding in the car. She does not like to be alone (barks, but not destructive). She will sit in your lap for hours but you have to catch her first. At one of her foster homes, she was left in the yard and escaped (her foster mom has seen her climb over a 3 foot baby gate).

Lilly has been spayed and she is up to date on her shots, including rabies & bordatella. She has been de-wormed and is micro-chipped. Lilly has most of her teeth and got a clean bill of health from the vet.

If you are interested in adopting Lilly, please contact Nancy from Colorado All Breed Rescue Network, Inc. at They are not considering long distance adoptions at this time. The adopter will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for the Lilly, and there will be an adoption fee or donation.

Please note that if you are interested in Lilly, you will be working with Colorado All Breed Rescue Network and we won't be involved in any arrangements that you make with them. She is in their rescue program, and we have neither seen nor evaluated her.
