Colby ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

"Whaaat am I doing heeere????? I'm not a silky! Guess my mug shot at the shelter fooled my rescuers....that's how I got my name, Colby. I'm a survivor! I'm a happy boy and wag my tail a'd be happy, too, getting out of that place alive. It was soooo nice to get brushed and bathed, I had foxtails imbedded in my armpits and the vet even got two out of my ear. Those foxtails almost punctured my eardrum. I'm healthy now and have a hearty appetite so I'm not skinny anymore. I weigh about 18 to 20 lbs. Hope someone out there wants to have a Skye Terrier mix because I'm surely not a silky terrier. In fact, some people think I might be a long-haired dachshund mix!"
colby Colby's foster mom says he is a wonderful boy. He's about two years old. He's house trained and only uses one spot in his yard to eliminate. He sleeps in a wire crate and he knows how to use a doggie door. He doesn't chew on anything inappropriately and has beautiful house manners. He knows the basic commands, "sit" and "down" and is learning to do "roll over". Colby would probably do best as an only dog. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
