Looking for a Home

Eddie My new name is Eddie. I need a forever home with a cuddly person or two to keep me company. I was found wandering in the street by a nice woman who took me home until she could find my owner. Before she knew it, a year had passed and I still lived with her and her family, but it was time to get my own home, so she gave me to Silky Rescue.

I am a really cheerful, friendly fellow, 4 years old, and I weigh about 14 pounds, I am neutered, my teeth are shiny clean, I have had all my shots, and I would like a nice yard with a doggie door and some people to love. I like men, women, children, birds, and female dogs. I don't like male dogs or being confined and left alone. I like food, toys, and sitting on your lap. Car rides are really fun, too!

Eddie chased after a big male dog, and had a portion of his left ear bitten off, so his ears don't match. It's still sore, but healing. He still needs work on house training, but this is improving rapidly, also. He could use some obedience training to learn how to walk on a leash and to come when called. He still cries when left alone, but there is improvement as he learns to trust that he won't be abandoned.

Eddie's ideal family would have a securely fenced yard and time to spend with him. A gentle older child would make him happy. He probably would be fine with a cat, but we don't know that for sure.

Eddie Eddie's new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for him. Preference will be given to applicants within the surrounding area. Please note that we do not ship our rescues.

If you are interested in Eddie, please fill out an application and mention his name. The application is on-line at https://silkyrescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email us at SilkyRescueApps@gmail.com and let us know you are interested in Eddie (please include your name and state so we can find your application in our files).
