Buck ~ in Nevada

Looking for a Home

Buck Hey there, my name is Buck. I'm a two-year-old neutered male silky terrier. My first mom moved to New York and left me with a disabled lady and her husband. They already had two dogs and two cats so decided I was one too many animals. I don't think she liked how I chased the cats either. Didn't want to hurt them, they were just fun to chase. I love people and other dogs. I haven't had much experience with children.

The vet says I'm healthy and I'm current on all my shots until January '08. I've also been microchipped. I'm very loving. I enjoy cuddling up in my foster mom's lap and like to give her kisses too! I love to crawl across the carpet on my belly and like to play with toys and with my foster buddy Ringo. I wasn't housebroken when I arrived at my foster home, but I'm doing much better with only an occasional accident. Part of the problem may be I don't like to ask to go out. I just hope my foster mom notices me near the back door. My last home had a doggie door and they said I did really well with it.

I love to go on walks, but as long as you have a six foot fenced yard for running I'll do great. The reason I need the fence so high is because I'm a very good jumper. The baby gates my foster mom has around the house are a cinch for me to jump over. My last home had me shaved because I was really matted when she got me. My coat's grown out some but it'll take some time. Foster mom brushes me so I can get used to it in case my new family wants to grow my coat long. And yes, one of my ears stands up and one folds over. But, my foster mom still thinks I'm real handsome. She also says I'm a good boy and that I'm much better behaved than her puppy. I'm being fostered in Sparks, Nevada (near Reno).

If you're interested in applying to be my forever home, or if you have any questions about me, please contact my foster mom at ourwest@hotmail.com.

If you are interested in Buck please note that you will be dealing directly with United Yorkie Rescue and not with STCA Rescue. We have neither seen nor evaluated this dog and will not be involved with any arrangements made regarding his adoption.
