Tuffy ~ in Southern California
Looking for a Home
I am Tuffy, described by the shelter staff as "charming". Silky Rescue saw that I needed help, so I was pulled out of the shelter and into our wonderful vet's clinic for some medical attention. I had some bad teeth, a bad cough, and a really bad bladder condition. I had bladder stones which needed surgery to take out. Now I only eat a special food so they will not come back.
I am not much of a Silky, I am probably more than half Yorkie. I am very small and easy to carry around, I really love being with you and my greatest joy in life is being next to you on the couch. I walk on the leash nicely and enjoy the occasional trip outside. I have a non-shedding coat.
Tuffy would be a perfect companion for a person who is not very active. He weighs about 7 pounds, is about 7 years old, is happy to snuggle, can "go" on newspaper, doesn't eat much. He responds well to training and has learned quickly not to climb out of his pen and not to bark. An apartment or condo would be fine for him. He is sweet and loving and very cute. He would like a stay-at-home Mom or Dad. He is not a suitable pet for young children. He gets along with other small dogs. As for cats, we don't know.
Tuffy's adoption fee is $150.
