Rusty ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

Hi! I'm Rusty! My new nickname is Ruff and Ready. Everybody says I am 2-3 years old. I look like a miniature Silky Terrier but I am a Yorkie. My main thing is to be cute and have fun, fun, FUN! I LOVE to play with my toys and play catch for almost forever!

I love to interact with my foster mom and dad. I'm very congenial and bond quickly. I love lots and lots of attention. When you talk to me I listen very closely and turn my head sideways. I like to walk near your heels. (Rusty has lots of potential to learn obedience and fun activities like Rally.) I love breakfast and dinner.

I am housebroken and crate trained, thanks to my foster mom's positive training. By the way, I love to go for walks since I have so much energy. When I see people or other dogs I am still working on learning my manners.

My hair is very soft and needs to be brushed everyday and would be best kept fairly short.

Rusty Since I am so busy I would fit in best with someone as an only pet and who can be with me as much as possible. I love adults and probably older children -- since I forget to be gentle sometimes. If I have to stay home alone I don't complain and stay in my X-pen or crate.

Rusty has all his shots, de-wormed, has a microchip and has been neutered. He is very healthy! He is ready for adoption preferably in Southern California. Life in an apartment would not be suitable for Rusty. His adoption fee is $300.

Rusty's new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for him. Preference will be given to local applicants. If you are interested in Rusty, please fill out an application and mention his name. The application is on-line at http://SilkyRescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email us at SilkyRescueApps@gmail.com and let us know you are interested in Rusty (please include your name and state so we can find your application in our files).
