Randy ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

Randy I'm called Randy, short for Handsome Ransom, after Silky Rescue paid a big price to get me off Death Row at the shelter. I am a possible Silky mix, maybe five or six years old. I am an active boy, about nine skinny pounds, but I am a first class snuggler as well. I will steal your heart the first time I jump into your lap and rest my head on your chest! I was scared to be in the shelter, but now that I feel safe, my true personality is emerging.

My foster Mom is often surprised to discover that I am very good at getting out of xpens, even if there is a cover and the doors are clipped shut- she thinks!! I always look for her right away when I get out, because I really like the company and the lap is good, too. I cry a bit when she leaves me alone, but I am learning to be quiet when she tells me that. I'm a very good climber and squeezer, so my new home must have a very secure fence.

I really need my own home and Mom. I get along fine with the girl dogs here, and I am very well house trained. I can walk nicely on a leash, and it's obvious that I am really smart. I have a natural tail that wags constantly. My teeth are shiny clean, I have a microchip, and I am neutered. I am healthy, optimistic, and need someone to love.

Randy's ideal home will have secure fencing and a Mom that is home with him much of the time. There should not be children under 12, and as there are no cats here, we don't know how he would behave around them. He likes women right away, but needs a little time to warm up to men.
