Looking for a Home

tory>
Hi! My name is Tory! I am a beautiful Silky girl who is about 5 or 6 years old. I came into rescue with very little information regarding my background. I was placed by rescue in a very good home for about 3 months, but lost my "special" person when she passed away.

Background: Tory has not received obedience training, and this is a MUST. She does not understand basic commands. She is VERY shy of people and requires socialization. She bonds readily to women. She LOVES her walks on a leash and understands going outside for potty duties. She would do well in a home with a single person (woman) or quiet couple with one person who is home all day.

Tory has been moved around a lot and has never had an opportunity to "settle in". She is great with cats. She does well with Silky's or Yorkies, but not other breeds. (Go figure?) She would benefit from a single dog home. The key is someone with the time and energy to devote to training! An agreement to enroll in basic obedience training is a requirement for adoption.

Because of her lack of training, ONLY an experienced Silky or other toy breed home will be considered. No homes with young children or teenagers. Washington State homes only, please.

We are looking for a wonderful, forever home for Tory. Tory is in Washington State, has been spayed, and up to date on shots. Tory's family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for her, and there will be an adoption fee or donation of $200.00, $50.00 of this fee will be applied towards basic training classes for owner and Tory. The $50.00 will be rebated after successful completion of the course.

If you have room in your home and heart for Tory, please fill out an application and mention her name. The application is on-line: http://SilkyRescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email Gail at griklin@msn.com and let her know you are interested in Tory.
