Stevie ~ in southern California

Looking for a Home

I'm Stevie and I'm terrific! I am so glad to be off of death row and at my foster mom's house. I'm very cute, loving, playful and smart. I'm a young fellow, about 2 years old. My coat has been cut short, which gives me a long-legged look, the better to balance my long, waggy, natural tail! I have big brown eyes and I'll give you a big kiss when you least expect it. stevie
stevie I like the other dogs here and I invite them to play with me. I play with the toys here, too. I like everybody and I'm gentle and sweet. My foster mom believes that when I gain some weight (I weigh about 10 pounds now) and grow my coat out, I will be very handsome. She also says I don't need to bark quite so much, but I'm just trying to tell her stuff.
Stevie's ideal home would have a fenced yard and maybe a doggie door. .He is mostly housetrained, but he has some brushing up to do in this department. He needs a loving family that will play with him and take him for walks and rides in the car. He should go to an obedience class to learn the basics, but already is good on the leash. He would fit in with other dogs and probably would be fine with a gentle, older child in his family. We don't know his response to cats, but he probably could get along with them, also. He sleeps quietly in a crate at night. stevie
stevie Stevie is apparently healthy, with normal xrays and blood work. He is neutered and up-to- date on his shots and his teeth have been cleaned.

We are looking for a wonderful, forever home for Stevie. He is in a foster home in southern California at this time. Preference will be given to local applicants. Stevie's new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for him, and there will be an adoption fee or donation of $250.
