Snookums ~ in Florida

Looking for a Home

snookie Snookums is a 13 lb, 4 yr old Silky boy that came into rescue because his previous owners were moving and no longer wanted to keep him. He started his journey with United Yorkie Rescue in Texas and eventually found himself in his new foster home in Florida!

Snookie has a wonderful and mischievious personality. He is a really happy boy and loves to play with toys and other dogs - he even gets along with cats! He loves to go for a car ride or a walk - these are some of his most favorite things. He needs a home with a fenced yard as he thinks he's really smart when he figures out a way to escape from the yard!

When he first came into rescue he had a bad skin condition. After tests and treatment, he is recovering very well and though he had lost much of his hair, it is now growing back. He may have food allergies, but he is doing quite well on a Lamb & Rice diet. He should have his beautiful coat back before long!

His foster parents are working on his manners, since he's a bit of a wild and crazy little guy and he's progressing very well. He's also making good progress on his housebreaking. The foster parents report that he is a very, very smart little boy and will figure out a way to get onto the kitchen table and even the center island and counters. He even moves the piano bench to get to the cat food. What a rascal!! But he is also very sweet too, and gives little kisses and snuggles with them on the sofa. Snookie will need a forever home where his new parents will be consistent and strict in continuing his social skills training.
