George and Gracie ~ in California

Looking for a Home

george and gracie
These adorable critters are George and Gracie, a pair of Yorkies. They are both very sweet, love to cuddle, and want to be held ALL the time. George is submissive, rolls over every time anyone goes near him (but doesn't pee). They are not housetrained, but their foster mom doesn't think it would be a major problem if someone has the time to watch them and make sure they get the idea for a week or so.

This little pair of cuties get along fine with the other dogs, ignored the cats, and are scared of the kids but are not aggressive in any way. Even if they were to bite, there aren't any teeth to speak of, so no way to cause an injury.

Their foster mom believes them to be about 9-12 years old, though it's hard to tell because they have no teeth. Both see fine, though their eyes are milky, and there are lovely coats on both of them.

Both George and Gracie will be up to date on their shots and spayed/neutered before placement. We are looking for a wonderful, forever home where George and Gracie can stay together. We will not separate them.

They are in a foster home in central California at this time...preference will be given to local applicants. We will consider a long distance placement only if the adopter is able to pick them up and drive or fly them (in the cabin) to their new home. We won't ship them. They also need a home with no children under 12 years old.

Their new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for them, and there will be an adoption fee or donation.

If you have room in your home and heart for George and Gracie, please fill out an application and mention their names. The application is on-line at http://SilkyRescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email Lyda at SilkyRescueApplications@yahoo.com and let her know you are interested in George and Gracie (please include your name and state so we can find your application in our files).
