Bailey - in the Boston area
Looking for a Home
Bailey is an adorable 8 year old silky terrier. His birthday is Sept. 10, 1992. He is neutered and up to date on his shots.
His mom, Candace, says, "I got Bailey as a puppy before I was married and had children. He has been with me his entire life and is very loyal to me. I now have two small children and Bailey has not adapted well to them, therefore, the time has come that I can no longer keep him in our home. Even though I watch them very carefully and the children do not touch him, accidents have happened and Bailey has nipped at the children."
"Bailey has an ongoing medical condition, Chronic Gastritis, which affects him in this manner; he is on a special diet (which we just changed again and he seems to be doing better); and every so often he has what I call "episodes" where he vomits and loses bowel control. Sounds worse than it is but since he is such a small dog, its not so bad. These episodes can happen nightly for 4-5 nights then not happen again for a couple of weeks."
"Those are the bad points. The good points are that Bailey has from day one been an extremely affectionate companion. He is always willing and wanting to "snuggle" and be patted. He is very loyal to his caregiver, therefore, we are looking for a mature experienced dog owning family with no young children, or a single person that will love and care for Bailey."
If you are interested in Bailey, please contact Candace at CASTER523@aol.com. Candace is looking for a wonderful home for Bailey and she will expect to check references before placing him. She strongly prefers to place him locally so that she can personally meet his new family and make sure it is a good match. For Bailey's protection, this is not a "free to a good home" situation...Candace will be asking for a moderate payment for him.
Please note that if you are interested in Candace you will be dealing directly with the owner and we won't be involved in any arrangements that you make with her, as Bailey is not in our rescue program or any other rescue program, and we have neither seen nor evaluated him.
