Annie ~ in Southern California
Looking for a Home
Hi! My name is Annie and I'm between one and two years old. I'm a very active and a busy little girl.
Sometime in my short life I hurt my right front leg and was dragging it when I was found. My rescuer took me to a wonderful vet who found that I had radial nerve damage and had no feeling in my leg and that it had been that way for a long time. I had a badly infected foot from dragging it on the ground and it was decided that I would be happier and healthier if my leg was amputated. I now only have 3 legs but that doesn't stop me. I can do anything that a four legged silky can do, except *shake hands* with my right paw.
I like to play with toys.
I've learned to use the doggie door and my house manners are improving but I still need work.
I can be aggressive towards other animals so my foster mom wants me to be adopted by a family with no other animals and no children under 12. Annie is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
We are looking for a wonderful, forever home for Annie. Annie is in southern California at this time. Annie's new family will be expected to sign a contract agreeing to provide proper care for her, and there will be an adoption fee or donation of $150.
If you have room in your home and heart for Annie, please fill out an application and mention her name. The application is on-line at http://SilkyRescue.tripod.com/appform.htm. If you have already filled out an application, it is not necessary to re-do it...just email Marge at firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know you are interested in Annie.
