2 Silky's ~ in Atlanta Georgia

Looking for a Home

Pelo...no two ways about it, I'm a SPECIAL boy! Just look at me! I'm beautiful! My foster Mom shaved me for the summer, but I have a natural blonde, long and silkie coat. I'm only about 2 yrs. old. I'm very healthy and I only weigh about 12 lbs. So, what am I doing as an orphan in rescue? Glad you asked... you see, somebody was very mean to me. People really scare me now. Whenever someone reaches for me or comes toward me quickly, I have bad flashbacks. If I don't know you, I don't trust you! If you reach for me, I'll scare you off with my growl. If you try to pick me up - well, look out! If I'm so moody, why bother? Glad you asked.... because once I do trust you, you may as well have won a trophy. You'll feel so good knowing that I chose you to love! I will jump in your lap and let you love on me. I'll greet you at the door with leaps of joy. I'll give you "high fives", really! I'm smart. And, who knows, one day I may let you reach down and pick me up without me having to jump in your lap first. But, don't get too excited. You'll have to earn that trust. Pelo requires a special home with a knowledgeable and patient family. NO children for this boy.

Culpepper is an 8 year old, 10lb Silky Terrier. He was an owner surrender to Small Dog Rescue. Culpepper is very sweet and affectionate and is housetrained. His terrier instinct is aroused when there are cats in the house and he will chase them. Culpepper was diagnosed with Pancreatitis and requires a strict diet of prescription dog food. Because of his small size, no small children for this little guy.

If you are interested in Pelo or Culpepper please note that you will be dealing with Small Dog Rescue & Humane Society directly and not STCA Rescue. We have neither seen nor evaluated this dog and will not be involved with any arrangements made regarding his adoption.
