Lina ~ in the San Francisco area

Looking for a Home

Lina Lina is a great little dog. She is very loving and people-oriented. She would love to be in a home where somebody is home all day. She is great in the crate; she sleeps in there every night in the bedroom, and tolerates being crated during the day as well. The longest she's been crated is 5 hours and was calm and happy, but definitely ready to get out! She didn't soil in there or look stressed at all. She loves to kiss, and is very affectionate and social. She would be content to follow her person around all day.

Lina goes bonkers at mealtime She is VERY food-motivated. She was a bit of a nuisance barker when she first came to her foster home, but that has been cut down with time-outs. She is very intelligent and learns quickly. She knows the sit command, and "quiet" and "off". She is a great burglar alarm, and she barks at the cat. She weighs about 9 lbs. and is about 6 years old. She is spayed and has all her shots.

She had skin and eye issues coming out of the shelter, but those are greatly improved. She doesn't have a lot of coat; it's very fine and soft, not thick or profuse.

Lina is a teeny bit hand-shy (especially with men, and if they move too quickly), but she is getting better about it. All she wants is a warm lap, a soft bed, a lot of love and 2 squares a day and she will be a happy camper. She will do well in a single or multi-dog home. She is a bit dominant, but after a couple of snarking incidents and a minor brawl (which she lost) she did defer to the older dog in her foster home.
