Mr. Darcy ~ in Southern California

Looking for a Home

They call me Mr. Darcy and I'm your basic romantic hero because I'm kind of mysterious. How did a well-bred silky gentleman like me end up as a stray in a shelter? Now that I've recovered from that ordeal, I'd like nothing better than to continue my story in a forever home with lots of toys, people and food.

I had dwindled down to 7 pounds of fur and bones, but I'm working on my fitness program to gain a pound or two and I'm very patient when you brush my silky coat. I get along fine with other dogs as long as they are not too big or rough, and small kids are probably not a good idea. Older kids and toys are great! Not sure about cats. I'm probably less than two years old. I don't do crates or dog beds.

Mr. Darcy
Mr. Darcy My favorite thing is to be close to my people, so save some space on the couch, on the bed or under your desk. I hate to be left alone so a stay at home person would be a plus. My foster mother can testify that I'm housebroken to the point of letting you know when I've got to go. A fenced yard is a must, but I also walk quite nicely on a leash. You'll need to keep an eye on a small lump in my neck which the vet says is benign and it doesn't seem to bother me much. I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on my shots and ready to write the next chapter of my dashing Darcy adventure!
