Belle ~ Central California

Looking for a Home

Belle is a 12-year-old, 16-pound Terrier mix.

She is a sweet girl with lots of energy for her age. Since her vision is slightly impaired, she will lovingly lick the air until she makes contact with your chin (at which point you should expect copious kisses).

She loves meeting new people, especially children.

Her personality is precious and incredibly endearing.

As her vision is impaired, meeting new dogs can be a startling experience for her. If she sees or smells them she can react in fear and start a scuffle. We think the happiest scenario for sweet Belle is one where she is the center of your attention and the only dog in your home.

Belle navigates her surrounding very well and loves going for longs walks and exploring new areas. She also gets excited for car rides. She's easy to handle and enjoys being picked up.

When it's time for her daily eye drops or to take a bath, she's a good little girl. Belle has low vision in one eye and light perception in the other, according to our ophthalmologist, but you wouldn't know it watching her run and play!

Belle loves being brushed and sits patiently for you, then she runs around the room to show off how pretty she looks. She has the most energy when she's fresh out of the bath!

One thing to keep in mind: Ms. Belle is a fan of the culinary arts, so it's probably a good idea to keep food put away when it's not mealtime.
